This is a rustic getaway retreat place with amazing nature, from scarlet macaws, monkeys, to deer to cool hermit crabs scurrying around at night. The mosaics and stone work embellished with shells and whimsy continue to amuse throughout your stay. On trees you will find animal art pieces. There is no Wi-Fi and very little cell phone coverage so bring your NON electronic entertainment and enjoy the very quiet and safe beach. The Staff was helpful , but meals were a little sketchy (and not cheap). Think of this as enhanced camping with lovely surroundings. Your room will have a clean but very firm bed, huge pillows, no blankets. There is a nice refrigerator, but no microwave or coffee maker. Just bring your own food, utensils as if camping, and it will be a fun time. We had periods with no electricity , or no water. As others have commented the access road is close to terrible. Come, relax and stay.

A really nice out of the tourist area place to stay. More jungle feel with the best swimming lagoon on the coast. On site restaurant and bar. Wave boarding or deep sea fishing. They have it here. The hosts are fantastic people.

This place is very rustic. If that is something you enjoy, do not pass this up. I ate breakfast right next to a deer. However, there is a point that quaint crosses into inconvenience. There is no internet or service in the rooms, only outside. The TV only gets cable, no streaming (because there's no internet) and it's a bear to switch the language from Spanish, (which is only possible for some channels). We had no soap for the duration of our stay (even after requesting some), and when we wanted to check out, someone literally had to drive over because nobody else knew how to run a card. The location is beautiful, and you are right on the beach. You also have some attractive areas nearby (Was Venao is lovely). All the staff was very kind, if not overly attentive. Despite the issues, I'd return in a heartbeat.
